  • Who can get a spray tan?
Spray tanning is for everyone and for any occassion.. We welcome and serve all genders, ages, and body types at Paradise Airbrush Tanning. If you're under 18, just bring a parent along.
  • When is a good time to get a spray tan?
Any time of the year is the best time to get a spray tan. For special events and vacations, we recommend scheduling your spray tan 1 to 2 days before to allow the tan to fully develop. This will ensure that you’ll have a perfect, natural-looking glow when it matters most.
  • Can I book spa treaments on the day of my spray tan?
No. It is best to schedule all spa services such as waxing, pedicures, facials, lashes, or massages at least two days prior to your spray tan session. The products from these services can create barriers affecting the tans application and results.
  • How long does the tan appointment take?
The appointment takes about 20 minutes.
  • Do you have different shades?
Yes we do. You can choose the shade you desire, whether it's a glow, light, light to medium, medium, medium to dark, dark, or ultra dark tan.
  • Will I be orange?
Absolutely not. Our solution is made with the highest quality ingredients and premium grade DHA that is derived from sugar beets and sugar cane. This guarantees that your tan will be golden brown and in addition, we are highly experienced and trained to make sure your color coverage is even and streak-free.
  • How should I prepare for my tan?
For the best results, shower, gently exfoliate your skin, and shave the night before your appointment. After your shower and on the day of your tan, avoid using any deodorant, moisturizers, oils, and perfumes, as they can create a barrier on your skin that prevents the spray tan from fully absorbing. No Dove or Oil of Olay products.
  • Why do you recommend showering without soap on the first rinse?
It has been proven that soap neutralizes the development of DHA. We strongly recommend just a luke warm water rinse so that the tan sets evenly giving you the best results. You can use soap in certain areas such as armpits and private parts, that is fine on your first rinse. On your second rinse, you can use soap all over and lotion after your shower.
  • Why do some spray tans start to become blotchy when they fade?
The active ingredient in airbrush spray tanning solution is DHA (dihydroxyacetone). The DHA reacts with the amino acids on the surface cells of the skin resulting in a “maillard reaction” aka tanning effect. The tan typically lasts 7 to 10 days and begins to fade as the top layer of skin cells naturally sheds. Keep in mind that this process tends to be a bit more noticeable when you choose a shade that is significantly darker than your natural skin color.
